Account Related

1. How do I create an account?  

   Click on 'Join Nazariya.org' on the top right corner of the screen. Enter your details and there you are - already a member of 'Nazariya.org'.
   
   

2. I have lost my User ID and password. How do I get it back?  

   If you lost your User ID or password, just click on the Lost Password link, next to the login button. Follow a simple step. Enter your Email address and click on 'Submit'. We will send the User ID and password to your Email address. Please ensure that you have entered the correct Email address while registering.
   
   

3. How do I change my password?  

   All you need to do is go to your channel page click on 'Edit my Channel'. Now click on 'Change My Password' link. Enter your new password. Retype the password and click 'Done'.
   
   

4. How do I change my User ID?  

   Your User ID is your permanent ID on Nazariya.org and hence you cannot change it.
   
   

5. Can I delete my User ID from your website?  

   No you cannot delete your User ID but you can write to us at to delete your User ID from our database.

1. What can you do on Nazariya.org?  

   Oh! Loads of stuff. You can upload videos, email them to your friends, comment, flag, rate, Hot Videos and even subscribe to others videos.
   
   

2. How do I upload my Videos?  

   Uploading videos is the easiest thing in the world. Almost like snapping your fingers. All you have to do is click on 'Upload your Video' link in the header of any page and follow given instructions.
   
   

3. How many videos can I upload?  

   As many as you want as long as they interest our viewers and make you popular.
   
   

4. If I upload a video now when will it be displayed?  

   The moment your video is uploaded, we allow you and the world to see it instantly, however, if there is any objectionable content we will delete the video if we feel it's against our Terms of Use or if it has been flagged as inappropriate by many members.
   
   

5. What file formats can I upload?  

   Plenty of them! You can upload your videos encoded with the following formats: .mpg, .avi, .mp4, .3gp, .wmv, .mov, .asf, .mpeg, .dat.
   
   

6. What is the permissible size of the video that I can upload?  

   We do not have any restriction on the duration of the video as long as it's not less than 200 KB and does not exceed 100 MB.
   
   

7. What is the duration of the video that I can upload?  

   There is no limit to the duration of the video. Record a video that exceeds Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna in length.
   
   

8. Can I edit or delete my video?  

   Certainly you can edit and/or delete your videos any time. All you need to do is just click the respective button next to the desired video uploaded by you, from your profile page once you have logged in.
   
   

9. How do I make a video?  

   You would need to have a device that can capture digital movies - this could be a camcorder, digital camera, webcam or even your cell phone! You need to copy the movies to you computer, and then you can either upload them as it is or edit them with software such as Windows Movie Maker to add titles and special effects to make it more attractive.
   
   

10. How do I transfer video clips from my mobile to my computer?  

    You can either transfer them using bluetooth, infrared or a data cable. Bluetooth adapters, infrared ports and data cable can be attached to your computers USB port. These are easily available in the market.
    
    

11. Why is my video taking a lot of time to upload?  

    Just chill! The video you uploaded is processed so that it can be viewed by everybody with a browser and the conversion process depends on the size of video uploaded.
    
    

12. How can I share my videos and link to them from my website or blog?  

    Sharing a video is very simple. We made it simple because we believe in the adage: 'Sharing is caring.' Just click on 'Email this Video', enter the Email address of the people you want to share the video and click on 'Send'.
    
    You can even copy this HTML snippet from the embedded field and paste it on your website to insert the video player directly into your page. This way a visitor will be able to play the video without leaving your site.
    
    

13. My upload has been running for a long time and hasn't completed. What should I do?  

    Uploading a video can take several minutes, depending on the size of your video and your internet speed. If your video upload is taking longer, we recommend any of the following: cancelling the upload, clearing the cache of your browser, checking the internet connection and the size of your video, and starting again from the Upload Video Page.
    
    

14. What are tags and why do I enter them?  

    A tag is a simple way for you to label your videos so that they are easy to sort and retrieve. There are no rules - just use whatever words you find useful. For example, if you have a Movie Video, then you can tag it as name of the movie, entertainment etc. This will help in categorizing the video and in getting better search results.
    
    

15. How many tags can I enter?  

    You can enter as many tags as you like as long as they are related to your video and do not exceed the permissible text limit of 120 characters.
    
    

16. What is Hot Videos?  

    Hot Videos is a reference to videos so that you can watch them later. They are like bookmarks.
    
    

17. Why should I subscribe and how do I go about it?  

    Hey! You don't wish to miss out on any great videos, or do you? By subscribing to a particular member's videos you are sure not to miss out on any future videos by a particular member. You just need to click on the 'Subscribe' button besides the member's photo when the video is playing. You can even unsubscribe to a particular member's video by clicking on the 'Unsubscribe' button in your subscription list.
    
    

18. What is flagging a video?  

    Flagging a video is making it known to other viewers that there is an objectionable video uploaded which might not be appropriate for general viewing or against our Terms of Use or even both. This way you are doing the community a great service.
    
    

19. What are categories and how are they useful?  

    Categories help you index your video in a systematic order. This even helps people locate related videos and have a more precise and desired output. For example, if you have uploaded a clipping from your favorite football match you can add it to the sports category and so on.
    
    

20. Can I hide my video from some people?  

    Since it's your video you can. Click on 'Only Me and my friends', while uploading the video or editing the video and it will not be listed on the home page nor will it show up in any categories or searches. Your privacy shall be maintained.
    
    

21. If I hide my video, how will my friends view it?  

    You just need to email that video by entering the Email addresses. We will then send them a private URL which contains their secret key to view your video. They would need to click the same to view the video.
    
    

22. Clicking on the link that I received gives me an Error Message - 'Oops! You cannot watch this video'.  

    The video that you are trying to view may have been either changed to be viewed only by friends and not everyone.
    
    

23. Can I change the rights for my videos, so that they can be viewed by everyone instead of just me and my friends and vice versa?  

    You can certainly change the way videos are viewed on Nazariya.org. All you need to do is edit your video and select the appropriate viewing option from this list in the edit video page.
    
    

24. Can I interact with other members?  

    You can certainly leave your comments and suggestions on other member's videos and have an open discussion with them. You can even invite your friends to join Nazariya.org. All you need to do is click on "Invite Friends" link, enter the email address and we will send them an invitation on your behalf. You can also access the address book of Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo and Rediff.
    
    And that's not all. You can even leave a message for someone whose video you have really liked. You can now visit that member's profile page and click on "Leave Notes". Show your appreciation for member videos by scribbling notes in their notebook.
    
    

25. Can I delete a comment?  

    Instead of deleting a comment you can edit it. You will see Edit besides all the comments that you have posted. Just click on it to edit your comments.
    
    

26. Can I delete a vulgar comment made by a member on my video?  

    Write to us at and our admin team will take care of the comment. Don't forget that we are with you all the time. Always.
    
    

27. How will I know if new comments have been added to my videos?  

    You will see a counter besides your video that will show you the number of comments that have been posted for your videos. Once the number increases you know its time to review new comments.
    
    

28. What does 'Invalid file format error' mean while uploading?  

    It means that the file type of your video isn't supported by the site. Please ensure that the file that you are uploading is .mpg, .avi, .mp4, .3gp, .wmv, .mov, .asf, .mpeg, .dat. For e.g. if you rename a real media file .rm to .mpg it will not work.
    
    

29. There was a problem in uploading a video. What do I do now?  

    Currently we do not support Windows Media video encoded with Microsoft Screen Codec. However, if you are uploading a supported video format and still face a problem in uploading your video, do write to us at support@Nazariya.org.
    
    

30. What browsers are officially supported?
